Colin Calderwood Not Interested In Moving South

Hibernian manager Colin Calderwood says he will not be joining West Bromwich Albion even if Chris Hughton becomes manager of the Baggies.Calderwood was Hughton's assistant at Newcastle before joining Hibs.

With Chris Hughton being heavily linked taking over the managerial vacancy at the Hawthorns, attentions have turned onto the possibility of Calderwood being reunited with the former Newcastle United boss.

Calderwood has made a poor start to life at Easter Road since walking away from his role with Hughton at St James’ Park in October, winning just three of his 18 matches in charge to date.

“I want to stay,” Calderwood said. “It's not a question - I don't even see it as a question at the minute.

Calderwood has already found himself under pressure following his team’s run of poor form and then suffered a shock exit from the Scottish Cup at the hands of Second Division side Ayr United.

  1. I know this is a Scottish footy blog, but what is your opinion on Chris Hughton? Too good for the nPC?

Personally I think he should have gone to Burnley or Palace when they were available. Everyone's saying that Andy Carroll's only had 6 months in the Premier League - I'm not sure if he's wily enough to get WBA out of a relegation scrap to be honest.

  3. No problems I have an interest in all football!

I think Hughton is a decent manager however I'm not convinced hes the best man for the WBA job.Hes got little experience and they would have been best to keep Di Matteo in my opinion. Its tight at the bottom and might end up having a reverse effect on them.

As for Carroll,Many other strikers have scored 11 goals in the premiership,It doesnt make them £35million players but it shows how valuable they are now theres a homegrown rule in place.!

  12. I agree with Myles, the American football is boring and slow paced, European football is all action, and their athletes have amazing conditioning while American footballers are all giant and fat.
