Dundee United Move Into Top Six With Win Over Aberdeen.

Dundee United moved into the top six by deservedly ending Aberdeen's unbeaten run in an exciting Tannadice encounter.

Barry Douglas headed United's opener from a 29th-minute Craig Conway corner while the Dons were down to 10 men with Zander Diamond off injured.

Goalkeeper Jamie Langfield allowed a Conway drive to slip out of his grasp and into the net four minutes later.

Josh Magennis got one back for Aberdeen from close range six minutes after halftime but were unable to go on and get another as Danny Swanson put the game beyond doubt on the 60minute mark.

Both teams went on to create more chances but but the game ended 3-1 to the hosts as David Goodwillie threatened the Dons goal but Langfield was equal to his attempts all night.


Dundee United: Pernis, Dillon,Douglas, Watson , Gomis, Van der Meulen, Conway, S Robertson, Swanson, Buaben, Goodwillie.

Substitutes: Banks, D Robertson, Kovacevic, Shala, Russell, Smith, Armstrong.
