Mixu Paatelainen has left Kilmarnock with immediate effect to take over as manager of Finland, the Scottish Premier League club have confirmed.
In the past week he also held talks with Scunthorpe but decided to accept the offer of his native Finland instead.
Kenny Shiels, will take control of team affairs until a new manager is found.
